Resolution Run 6K - Olympia Fields
The Resolution Run is scheduled for New Year’s Day, January 1, 2027, and features a 6K loop on the Vollmer Grove Trail in the Cook County Forest Preserve. The course follows a paved trail near 4200 Vollmer Road in Olympia Fields, Illinois.
The event uses chip timing and a marked course. Packet pickup takes place on race day at the start area. The organizer lists race swag and prizes, plus a free custom beanie hat for the first 100 registrants. The event is described as stroller friendly and dogs are allowed on the course.
Parking is available at the start area, with an overflow lot off Flossmoor Road about one mile from the start. The Olympia Fields Metra station is noted as approximately two miles from the start area. Awards include medals for the top three overall finishers and for the top three in the following age groups: 14 & Under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-69, and 70 plus.
