Resolution Run 6K

The Resolution Run 6K takes place on Thursday, January 1, 2026, in Olympia Fields, Illinois. The event is held on the Vollmer Road Trails in the Cook County Forest Preserve and follows a looped course of 6K (3.71 miles). This is the fifth annual running of the event. The course surface is a paved trail and the route will be marked.

Event details and logistics

The entry fee for the listed event is $40; the price increases after December 13, 2025. Race entries include chip timing and a marked course. The first 100 registrants receive a custom beanie. Packet pickup will take place on race day at the start area. Parking is available at the start area, with an overflow lot off Flossmoor Road about 1 mile from the start; the Olympia Fields Metra station is approximately 2 miles from the start area. The event is stroller friendly and allows dogs. Medals will be awarded to the top three overall finishers and to the top three finishers in the following age groups: 14 & Under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-69, and 70+.
