Lake Louisa State Park Trail Run
Lake Louisa State Park hosts a trail run on November 7, 2026, with three distance options held on park trails and natural surfaces. The event uses chip timing and provides race swag and a medallion to all participants who complete their distance.
Aid stations are placed roughly every 2 miles; some stations are self serve and some are staffed by volunteers. On-course restrooms are available at specified miles on the longer courses. Post-race food is provided. Packet pick-up occurs November 5 to 7 at the listed locations, including the National Training Center and Lake Louisa State Park.
Course details for each distance are published and include measured miles and elevation gain. The half-marathon has on-course nutrition at its final three aid stations, which offer bananas and bars. Participants are asked to dispose of trash in park receptacles.
Distances offered:
- 5K, 3.10 miles, 69 ft elevation, 1 aid station may be self serve
- 10K, 6.23 miles, 135 ft elevation, 3 aid stations, 1 on-course restroom
- Half-Marathon, 13.10 miles, 275 ft elevation, 6 aid stations, 2 on-course restrooms
Individual awards are given for overall and age-group placings, with masters and age categories listed. Team awards include fastest team and civil servant team recognitions. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
