Event
The Florida Run at Colt Creek State Park is scheduled for April 11, 2026, in Lakeland, Florida. The event includes three distances: a 5K, a 10K and a half-marathon. Races are chip timed and managed. Packet pick-up is at Colt Creek State Park on the Friday and Saturday before the event. Parking passes are required; parking fees go directly to Colt Creek State Park and single-use or annual passes are available.
Course and logistics
Aid stations are placed approximately every 2.5 miles; some aid stations are self-serve and some are staffed by volunteers. On-course restrooms are provided at mile 3 of the 10K, and at miles 3, 6 and 9.5 of the half-marathon. Participants receive a swag item, a finisher medallion and post-race snacks. The course is marked with signage and runners are asked to dispose of trash in park trash cans.
- 5K - 3.18 miles; 104 ft gain; 1 aid station; 1 restroom.
- 10K - 6.28 miles; 180 ft gain; 2 aid stations; 1 restroom.
- Half-Marathon - 13.13 miles; 330 ft gain; 5 aid stations; 3 restrooms.
Awards and teams
Individual awards are given for overall top finishers and for age-group placings, including masters 50+ and standard age brackets up to 80+. Team awards include fastest run club teams by cross-country scoring and a largest-team award called the Get Up & Go Award. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
