Colt Creek State Park Trail Run
The event takes place on April 11, 2026, at Colt Creek State Park in Lakeland, Florida. It features trail courses routed through pine forests, lakeshores and open meadows on maintained paths that include some elevation changes and occasional creek crossings.
Courses are well marked with signage. Aid stations are placed approximately every 2.5 miles; some stations are self-serve and others are staffed by volunteers. On-course restrooms are provided at specified mile points for the longer distances, and participants are asked to dispose of trash in park receptacles.
Distances offered:
- 5K : 3.18 miles, 104 ft elevation gain, 1 aid station, 1 restroom
- 10K : 6.28 miles, 180 ft elevation gain, 2 aid stations, 1 restroom
- Half marathon : 13.13 miles, 330 ft elevation gain, 5 aid stations, 3 restrooms, nutrition at miles 5, 7.5 and 10
Races are chip timed and managed by the organizer. Each participant receives event swag, a finisher medallion and post race snacks. Awards include overall and age group placings for each distance, plus team awards for fastest run club teams and an award for the largest team.
