Colt Creek State Park Trail Run
The event is a trail running series held at Colt Creek State Park in Florida. Routes run on well-maintained trails through pine forests, lakeshores and open meadows, with sections that include elevation changes and occasional creek crossings.
Distances offered:
- 5K : 3.18 miles, 104 ft elevation gain, 1 aid station, 1 on-course restroom
- 10K : 6.28 miles, 180 ft elevation gain, 2 aid stations, 1 on-course restroom
- Half-Marathon : 13.13 miles, 330 ft elevation gain, 5 aid stations, 3 on-course restrooms
Aid stations are placed approximately every 2.5 miles; some stations are self-serve and some are staffed by volunteers. The half-marathon includes nutrition at miles 5, 7.5 and 10. Restrooms are located on course at specified mile markers for the longer distances. Participants receive race swag and a medallion upon completion, and events use chip timing for official times.
Packet pick-up occurs at the park on the Friday before the race and on race morning with specified time windows. Parking at the state park requires a single-use day pass or an annual state parks pass; parking fees are paid to Colt Creek State Park.
Awards are given for overall male and female places, masters 50+ winners, age group places across multiple decades, and team awards including fastest run club teams and largest team recognition. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
