The First Hour
The First Hour is part of the Happy Hour Friday Night Series and takes place at Goodrich-Loomis Conservation Area, Pinewood School Road, Castleton, ON, Canada. The event is presented as an informal, community-oriented trail run.
The course is 8 km long. Runners can expect hills, rocks, roots, and mossy log bridges. Some sections may be slippery and caution is advised. A course map will be available soon.
There are no aid stations on course. Water will be available at the start and finish; the event is cupless so participants should bring their own water bottles. A porta-potty is located near the parking area; there are no other facilities on course.
Bibs are available on race day. Day-of registration is offered for $30. The listed registration fee is $29.47 inclusive of mandatory charges and fees.
Timing is manual and results will be posted to the organizer's Facebook pages within 24 hours. There are no placement awards for this event. No medals or awards are given for the individual race; Dirty Soles merchandise will be for sale and participants who complete all three races in the series will receive a custom Dirty Soles medal and a prize at The Last Hour.
