About the race
The First Hour is a trail race held on June 18, 2027, at Goodrich Loomis Conservation Area in Brighton, ON. It is organized by Dirty Soles and is part of the Happy Hour Series.
The course length varies with trail conditions and is approximately 6-8 km. Participants can expect trail features such as hills, rocks, roots and mossy log bridges, with some slippery sections where extra caution is advised.
There are no aid stations on course. Water will be available at the start and finish area, and the event is cupless, so participants must supply their own water bottles. A porta-potty is available near the parking area. Day-of registration is available for a fee of $40.
Timing will be handled manually and there are no placement awards. There are no refunds for entries, but entries may be deferred to other Happy Hour events. Dirty Soles will offer swag for sale. Participants who complete all four Happy Hour races will receive a custom Dirty Soles medal and prize at The Last Hour. The event also notes awards based on cumulative time totals.
