The First Hour
This event is part of the Happy Hour Friday Night Series and takes place at Goodrich-Loomis Conservation Area in Castleton, ON. The course is 8 km on trail terrain and includes hills, rocks, roots, and mossy log bridges. Some sections can be slippery and caution is advised.
There are no aid stations on course. Water will be available at the start and finish. The event is cupless; participants must provide their own waterbottles. A porta-potty is located near the parking area; there are no other facilities on course.
Bibs are distributed on race day and day-of registration is available at the listed fee. Timing is manual and results are posted to the organizer’s Facebook pages within 24 hours. There are no placement awards. Refunds are not offered; registrations may be deferred to another Happy Hour event.
Dirty Soles merchandise will be available for purchase. Participants who complete all three Happy Hour races receive a custom Dirty Soles medal and prize at The Last Hour, the final race in the series. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
