Event Overview
Dark & Dirty is a night trail run taking place at Batawa Ski Hill in Batawa, Ontario. The event is scheduled for Saturday, July 11, 2026.
Course Details
The race offers two distances on the trails of Batawa:
- 7 km
- 14 km
Participants can expect a course with terrain featuring rocks, roots, stumps, and hills. The trails are well-marked. For safety, the use of headlamps, flashlights, or waistlamps is mandatory, and headphones are not allowed.
On-Site Information
Bib pickup begins at 7:00 PM on the night of the race. The event is cupless, so runners must bring their own water bottles. An aid station at the halfway point for the 14 km distance will provide water, Tailwind, watermelon, chips, and freezies. A porta potty will be available at the start/finish line.
Timing and Awards
The event uses manual timing. Bibs must be worn clearly visible on the front. All participants receive a race medal. Custom medals are awarded to the first-place male and female finishers in each distance. Numerous draw prizes are also available from local sponsors.
Registration and Policies
Registration is available for both distances. Race t-shirts are provided for participants who register before June 21st. No refunds or deferrals are offered. Changes to a registered distance can be requested via email but will not be made on race day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
