Dark & Dirty : event description
Dark & Dirty is a night trail run held on the trails of Batawa Ski Hill in Batawa, Ontario. The event offers two distances:
- 7 km
- 14 km
Trails are well marked and feature mixed technical terrain including rocks, roots, stumps and hills. The race takes place after sunset; headlamps, flashlights or waist lamps are mandatory. For safety, headphones are not allowed.
Aid stations will provide water and Tailwind. For 14 km participants there is a halfway station with watermelon, chips and freezies. The event is cupless so participants should bring their own water bottles.
Bib pick up is available on race night. Timing is manual; bibs must be clearly visible and worn on the front. Custom medals will be awarded to the first place male and female in both distances, and all finishers receive a medal. Race t-shirts will be produced for those registered before June 21.
There are no refunds or deferrals. Changes to race distance can be made before the event by email; no changes will be made on race day. A porta potty will be available at the start and finish. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
