Event overview
The Boomerang Trail Run is a looped trail event on a course of about 7 km+ per loop at Batawa Ski Hill, Ski Club Lane, Batawa, Ontario. Participants choose to run as many laps as they can within set durations of 2, 4, or 6 hours. The event uses a universal clock and lap timing: runners must check in at the timing table at the start and end of each loop and individual times are recorded and posted after the event.
Course and logistics
The trail passes through hilly terrain and includes rocks, roots, sticks, mud, and insects. There is one road crossing; runners cross at their own risk. Trail width varies from sections wide enough for two abreast to single-file sections, and the course is marked but does not have mile markers. An aid station is located approximately halfway through the loop and supplies water and Tailwind; the event is cup-less, and volunteers can refill hydration packs, bottles, or handhelds. Space is provided at the start/finish for drop bags, chairs, or coolers. Facilities on site include a porta potty only; there are no change rooms. All registrants receive race swag and a participant medal.
Registration and rules
The event policy states there are no refunds or deferrals. If unable to attend, a registrant may transfer their spot to another person by contacting the organizer. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
