The Father's Day Walk Run
The Father's Day Walk Run is scheduled for June 21, 2026. The event offers in person participation at Burnaby Lake Regional Park and at Kamloops BC Wildlife Park, and virtual participation across Canada.
It is a fundraiser organized by Prostate Cancer Foundation Canada. Supporters have participated for 28 years. To date the event has raised over $5,000,000. Over the years the foundation has awarded more than $2.95 million in grants to fund 98 research projects.
The organizers have distributed thousands of Reef Knot Kits to newly diagnosed patients and to oncology and urology professionals. The event also connects participants to a national network of supports that includes over 72 groups, named examples being Butts in a Boat and Butts in Motion, plus specialized online communities and one-on-one peer support.
For 2026 the fundraising goal is $400,000, after raising over $319,000 in 2025. The event lists sponsors, top fundraisers and top teams, and notes a silent auction is coming soon.
