The Father's Day Walk Run
The Father's Day Walk Run is a fundraising event for prostate cancer scheduled for Sunday, June 21st, 2026. It takes place in person at Burnaby Lake Regional Park and at Kamloop's BC Wildlife Park, and it is also offered virtually across Canada.
Supporters have participated for 28 years. To date the events have raised over $5,000,000; in 2025 more than $319,000 was raised. The Prostate Cancer Foundation Canada has awarded over $2.95 million in grants funding 98 research projects.
Organizers report distribution of thousands of Reef Knot Kits free of charge to newly diagnosed patients and to health professionals across the country. The event is linked to a national support network of more than 72 groups, including Butts in a Boat and Butts in Motion, plus specialized online communities and one-on-one peer support that connect men and their families with others who share similar experiences.
