The Fast and The Furriest 5K
The race takes place on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at Hancock Pavilion, Lakeview Park, 118 Park Avenue, Frankfort, KY 40601. This is the event's 3rd annual running and proceeds and donations will support the Betty J. Martin L.I.F.E. House For Animals, Inc., a no-kill canine and feline adoption facility in Frankfort.

Event fees listed in the organizer material are $22 for the in-person 5K and $30 for the virtual 5K; the Kid's Dash and volunteer registration are free. The 5K uses paved trails at Lakeview Park. Race features include commemorative long-sleeved performance shirts in men's, women's, and youth sizes, overall and age-group awards in five-year divisions, free race photos, post-race snacks and hot chocolate, social team competition with a prize for the largest team, and both prerace and race-day packet pickup (details to be announced).
