The Fanciest 5K Ever : Salem, OR
The event is a charity 5K held on 11/07/2026 in Salem, Oregon, with both in-person and virtual participation options. Proceeds support Safety Compass, a local organization that provides free, confidential advocacy for survivors of sex trafficking in the mid-Willamette Valley region.
In-person participants gather at West Coast Strength, 290 Moyer Ln NW, Salem. The in-person 5K follows a course through Wallace Marine Park and River Front Park and returns to the start area. A finish line party with snacks, a photo booth, and awards takes place at West Coast Strength.
Virtual participants may complete the 5K from any location within a designated multi-week window. Virtual registrants can print a bib, submit a time and photos, and receive a medal.
Participants can register as individual fundraisers or form teams and set fundraising goals. Prizes will be awarded for top finishers, top fundraisers, and the fanciest outfits; formal wear such as dresses, tuxedos, bow ties, hats, and tiaras are part of the event theme. Registration opens 08/01/2026 and closes 09/01/2026; the registration fee is $30. Day-of check in, bib and t-shirt pickup, and on-site registration are available inside West Coast Strength.
