The Fabulous 4th of July Race
The event is a community road race held on July 4 in Long Beach, NY, conducted rain or shine. It includes a short fun run for children and a measured road race on the boardwalk at Laurelton Boulevard. Participants receive race amenities and access to the beach with a race bib.
Race distances:
- 1 kilometer fun run
- 4 kilometer measured road race (2.49 miles), flat course, start and finish on the boardwalk
Awards are presented for top overall male and female finishers, the top wheelchair participant, top three Long Beach police officers, and top three male and female finishers in multiple age groups from 14 and under through 80 and over.
Race numbers are distributed at bib pickup at 1 Laurelton Boulevard; a self-lookup area is available for those who do not know their bib number. Bib numbers may be provided in advance by text or email. T-shirts are provided to registrants at number pickup on the day of the race while supplies last. No baby strollers are allowed on the race course.
