The Fabulous 4th of July Race in Memory of Sean Ryan takes place on July 4, 2026, in Long Beach, New York. The start and finish are on the boardwalk at Laurelton Boulevard.
Race Options
The event features two distances:
- A 4 km run/walk.
- A 1 km fun run/walk, which is untimed and intended for children 15 years of age and younger.
Registration & Logistics
Registration is available online. Early bird pricing is listed, and fees are non-refundable. Participants who register at least three weeks in advance can have their name printed on their race bib.
T-shirts are given to registrants during number pickup on the day of the event, beginning at 6:30 a.m. at Laurelton Boulevard, while supplies last. Bib pickup also starts at 6:30 a.m. Participants can use the beach for free on race day by showing their race bib at the entrance.
Course & Awards
The 4 km course is described as accurately measured, flat, and fast. Baby strollers are not allowed on the race course.
Awards are given for top overall male and female finishers, top wheelchair participant, and top three Long Beach Police Officers. Age group awards are presented to the top three male and female participants in categories ranging from 14 & under to 80+. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
