The Fabulous 4th of July Race
This community running event takes place on July 4 in Long Beach, NY, on the boardwalk at Laurelton Boulevard. It features a kids fun run and a measured 4 kilometer road course that is described as flat and starts and finishes on the boardwalk. Strollers are not allowed on the race course.
Distances offered:
- 1 Kilometer Fun Run
- 4 Kilometer Run accurately measured at 2.49 miles
Amenities include race day T shirts distributed at bib pickup while supplies last, and free beach access for race participants who show their race bib at the beach entrance. All participants in the kids race receive an award.
Awards are given to overall top finishers and age group top finishers. Specific awards listed include top overall male and female, top wheelchair participant, and top three Long Beach police officers. Age group awards are awarded for standard categories from 14 and under through 80 plus.
Bib pickup is managed on race day at 1 Laurelton Boulevard; participants should know their bib number or use the self lookup area. Race numbers can be personalized by registering at least three weeks in advance. Registration is not yet open and will open ahead of the event date.
