The Fabulous 4th of July Race in Memory
The event is scheduled for July 4 in Long Beach, NY and will proceed rain or shine. Registration is not yet open. Past race information, results, and photos are available from previous editions.
Distances offered:
- 1 Kilometer Fun Run
- 4 Kilometer Run (accurately measured 2.49 miles)
The 4 kilometer course is accurately measured and described as flat, with start and finish on the boardwalk at Laurelton Boulevard. Baby strollers are not allowed on the race course.
On the day of the event, registrants receive T shirts at bib pickup while supplies last. Participants in the kids race receive an award. All race participants may use the beach for free by showing their race bib at the beach entrance.
Awards are given to the top male and female overall, the top wheelchair participant, the top three Long Beach police officers, and the top three male and female finishers in standard age categories from 14 and under through 80 and over.
Bib pickup is handled on site at 1 Laurelton Boulevard. Runners must know their bib number to pick up a bib; a self lookup area is available. Bib numbers will be sent by text or email before pickup.
