Event overview
The Endless Mile is a multi-hour running event held in late October at Veterans Park, 7305 AL Highway 119, Alabaster, AL 35007. Runners circle a USATF-certified, paved and lighted loop repeatedly for a set time period. The course passes wooded areas and several lakes and has public restrooms, picnic areas, and playgrounds. Total elevation gain per loop is about 12-15 feet.

The loop measures 1.00203 miles. Runners may compete solo or as informal relay teams. Timing uses HuTag ankle chips with backup bib chips; lap reads are displayed on a monitor. Direction on the course reverses every six hours. Solo runners who reach 100 miles and 200 miles earn commemorative buckles.
An aid station provides real food throughout the event, including full meals, made-to-order items, snacks, and a variety of drinks. The event is cupless for cold drinks, and cups are provided for hot beverages. Rental tents are available for certain distance entrants for the event duration. High school age and under receive a 50% student discount with code Student-2026. Race shirt orders require registration by October 6 to be guaranteed; an earlier registration date is recommended to avoid late fees.
