Event Overview

The Empanada 10k is part of a multi-distance running event held in Jefferson, New Jersey. The event includes a 5 km, a 10 km, and a 2 km Pup Strut. It takes place on September 27, 2026.

Location and Course

The event starts and finishes at the Arthur Stanlick School on North East Shawnee Trail. The course is a scenic route around Lake Shawnee. According to a course map, participants in the 10 km event run the course twice.

A price increase is scheduled for September 12, 2026. A technical shirt is guaranteed for registrations completed by September 6, 2026. The first 200 registrants receive a finisher's medal and a sports tech race t-shirt.

Participant Information

The 2 km Pup Strut and the 5 km are open to participants with dogs. The event proceeds benefit the Jefferson Education Foundation. The event takes place regardless of weather conditions.
