The Empanada 5K/10K and 2K Pup Strut - Jefferson, NJ
The event takes place on September 27, 2026, at Arthur Stanlick School and around Lake Shawnee in Jefferson, New Jersey. It offers multiple timed and walking distances on routes near the lake.
Distances:
- 5K (3.1 miles), running race, open to dog owners
- 10K (6.2 miles), running race
- 2K Pup Strut (1 mile), walking event for dogs and handlers
Registration fees listed for the events are $38 for the 5K, $48 for the 10K, and $25 for the 2K Pup Strut; fees are shown plus RunSignUp fees. Registration opens December 2, 2025 and closes September 12, 2026. A sports tech race tee is guaranteed for registrations made by September 6, and the first 200 registrants receive a finisher’s medal and a race tee.
A complimentary empanada from Chava's Empanadas is provided at the finish line. The 1-mile K9 Walk and the 5K are both open to participants accompanied by dogs.
