The Empanada 10k
THE Empanada 5K/10K and 2K Pup Strut takes place in Jefferson, New Jersey, around Lake Shawnee. Runners and walkers choose the Great Empanada 5K, Great Empanada 10K, or the 2K Pup Strut, with a dog-friendly option including a 1-Mile K9 Walk and 5K for dogs. All finishers receive an empanada-themed medal, and the first 200 registrants get a sports-tech race tee.
A free empanada awaits at the finish line. The event benefits 11th Hour Rescue and invites pet donations. Distances are 5K ($38), 10K ($48), and 2K Pup Strut ($25).
