Event overview
The Empanada 5K/10K and 2K Pup Strut is scheduled for Sunday, September 27, 2026, in Jefferson, New Jersey. The event is based at Arthur Stanlick School and uses a route around Lake Shawnee. The race proceeds regardless of weather.

Prices increase after September 12, 2026. The 10K consists of two laps of the 5K course. Dogs are allowed in the pup strut and in the 5K.
Race amenities and beneficiaries
A free empanada from Chava's Empanadas is provided at the finish line. A tech race shirt is guaranteed for those who register by September 6. A finisher’s medal with an empanada theme and a sports tech race tee are available to the first 200 registrants. The event benefits the Jefferson Education Foundation.
