The Elephant Run is a community 5K held in Park Ridge, New Jersey on May 3, 2026. The event is in its second year and benefits the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund. In its first year the race drew 255 participants and raised over $16,000 for those charities. Race details
- Distance: 5K (certified) The course runs on somewhat hilly local roads through Park Ridge. The event is open to all ages. A race course time limit of 1 hour and 30 minutes applies. Entry price listed is $35 and registration opens January 1, 2026. There will be food, music, and other activities at the finish area. Parking is available in the Park Ridge Pool lot but is somewhat limited; overflow parking will be on the street. Prizes will be awarded to top participants in each age group. Number pick-up and other race-day details will be provided to participants before the event. Donations to the benefiting charities are accepted.
