Event overview
The Edinburgh to North Berwick 20-mile Race is a point-to-point road race first held in 1958. It was held almost every year until 2017 and was revived from 2022. The course has been professionally measured as exactly 20 miles since 2009.
Course and facilities
The route is mostly flat and runs on hard surface. The finish area provides drinks and food. The event offers a range of prizes and spot-prizes. A coach return option to Portobello is available for an additional fee.
Recent staging and entries
The 58th staging took place on 3 May 2025 and recorded 227 finishers; conditions were sunshine with a westerly wind. The 2026 race is scheduled for Saturday 2 May 2026. Entries open Monday 16 March via EntryCentral. The entry fee is £18.75, with an optional £7 charge for a place on the coach back to Portobello.
