The Edinburgh Winter Warmer Run
The event takes place in Holyrood Park on Queens Drive in Edinburgh and offers three distances around the park. It is a chip timed run with race packs collected at registration on the day.
- 5k - one lap of the course
- 10k - two laps of the course
- Half marathon - four laps of the course
The course is hilly and runs on roads. It is wheelchair accessible and buggies are permitted. The route is marked and marshalled, and medical cover is provided. Chip on Bib timing is used and numbers should be worn on outer clothing for timing accuracy.
Facilities at the event hub include toilets, bag storage with limited space, and sales of coffee and snacks. Water stations and finish line water and sweets are provided. Finish medals are given to all finishers and trophies are awarded to winners. Other included items and services noted are penguin bars, partner benefits, and voucher points for bookings through the organiser's site.
The event supports the charity Shelter. Fundraising is optional and there is no minimum fundraising target. Entry prices increase on 2 January 2027. The event hub is on the Parade Ground on Queens Drive opposite St Margaret's Well. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
