Event details
The Edinburgh Winter Warmer Run is set for 7 February 2026 at Holyrood Park, Queens Drive, Edinburgh EH8 8HG. The event offers three distances:
- 5k
- 10k
- Half marathon
Entry prices shown on the event page are £25 for the 5k and 10k, and £30 for the half marathon. Online entries close on 27 January 2026 unless the event sells out. Entry prices increase on 2 January 2026. The event supports the charity Shelter; fundraising is optional with no minimum target.
Course and race day services
The course is hilly and runs on roads around Holyrood Park. The 5k is one lap, the 10k is two laps and the half marathon is four laps. The route is on public land, with marshals positioned around the course. Buggies are permitted and the course is wheelchair accessible.
Registration and race pack collection take place on the morning of the event; race packs must be collected at registration. Race timing uses a chip on the bib and instant results are provided via Results Base. Participants receive a medal; trophies are available for winners. Bag storage is available but limited. Toilets are located in the event hub and drinks, snacks and photo services may be available for purchase. The event hub is on Parade Ground on Queens Drive opposite St Margaret's Well.
