Event details
The Edinburgh Winter Warmer Run takes place on 7 February 2026 at Holyrood Park, Queens Drive, Edinburgh EH8 8HG. The event offers three distances:
- 5k - one lap of the course
- 10k - two laps of the course
- Half marathon - four laps of the course
Entry fees listed on the event page are £25 for the 5k and 10k, and £30 for the half marathon. Entry prices increase on 2 January 2026. Online entries close on 27 January 2026 unless the event sells out.
Course and facilities
The course is hilly and runs on roads around Holyrood Park. The route is wheelchair accessible and buggies are permitted. There will be marshals on the course and refreshments, snacks and toilets at the event hub. Bag storage is available but space is limited. The event hub is on the Parade Ground on Queens Drive opposite St Margaret's Well. The South Approach carpark is used by the event team and is not available for public parking. Several park-and-ride sites operate near Edinburgh.
Timing, results and charity
The event uses chip-on-bib timing with instant results displayed via ResultsBase and emailed after the race. Cut-off times are typically 2 hours for 5k/10k and 3 hours for the half marathon. Fundraising for the charity Shelter is optional and there is no minimum fundraising target. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
