Event overview
The Drop - Sevenoaks is an off-road navigation event on 25 April 2026 at 145 High St, Sevenoaks TN13 1XJ. Entrants may take part solo or in a team. Two distance options are offered:
- 10 miles
- 15 miles
Both options are priced at £52.00. Entrants must be aged 18 or over on 26 April 2026.
Format and rules
Participants surrender electronic devices and navigational aids at registration and receive a race number and sealed emergency bag. A bus will take participants to an undisclosed drop-off location while blindfolded or wearing blackout safety goggles; an alternative is available if required. From the drop-off, participants must find their way back to the event centre using no maps, GPS, route guidance, compass, or outside help. Distances are measured as the crow flies; the actual route may be longer. Breaking the seal on the emergency bag, using unauthorised maps, or taking shortcuts will result in disqualification.
Safety and practical information
Live GPS tracking is available as an optional feature for convenience and safety; trackers must be returned at the end of the event or a £175 replacement fee will apply. Trackers are typically accurate within 5 metres but can be affected by tall buildings and signal black spots. Parking is available in the town centre.
