About the race
The IKEA Marathon is a city-centre marathon held entirely inside the Croydon IKEA store on 13 December 2026. The course is multi-lapped to total 26.2 miles, with all laps run within the store interior.
The event is limited to 100 places, with 80 allocated to general sale. Minimum age to enter is 18. Entry fees published for the event were Affiliated £80.00 and Unaffiliated £82.00. Entries for this edition are listed as full and no new entries can be made.
Because the race takes place in a working retail environment, spectators are not permitted and a strict six hour cut off is applied. The usual on-course aid station will follow a Swedish theme and may include items such as meatballs or lingonberry sandwiches. Finishers receive a bespoke self-assembly marathon medal and a unique finisher t shirt.
Organiser details are given as Sussex Trail Events. Sixteen percent of event proceeds are designated for donation to Shelter charity.
