CDF 10K - Run 4 Wales (R4W)
The CDF 10K is a road race of 10 km that runs through central Cardiff. The course passes several city landmarks, including Cardiff Castle and the Principality Stadium, crosses the River Taff and continues toward the suburb of Pontcanna. Runners move through the grade 2 listed parkland of Llandaff and Pontcanna Fields and pass Sophia Gardens before a grandstand finish at the Edwardian Civic Centre.
This event is a revival of a historic capital city race and has given thousands of runners the opportunity to take to the streets of Cardiff. The race is positioned in the calendar for those training over the spring and summer months and is described as a stepping-stone for runners preparing for the Cardiff Half Marathon in October.
