Kidney Wales CDF 10K
The Kidney Wales CDF 10 km is a city road race that runs through central Cardiff. The route is presented as a sightseeing tour of the Welsh capital and passes several well known landmarks.
Runners follow a course that takes in Cardiff Castle and the Principality Stadium, crosses the River Taff and heads towards the leafy suburb of Pontcanna. The route continues through the grade 2 listed parkland of Llandaff and Pontcanna Fields, passes Sophia Gardens, and concludes with a grandstand finish at the Edwardian Civic Centre.
This event is described as a revival of an historic city race and has provided thousands of runners the opportunity to run on central Cardiff streets. It is placed in the calendar to suit those building distance through spring and summer and for runners using it as a stepping-stone towards the Cardiff Half Marathon in October.
