CDF 10K - Cardiff
The CDF 10K is a road race held in central Cardiff that follows a route through notable city landmarks. The course passes Cardiff Castle and the Principality Stadium, crosses the River Taff, and moves into the Pontcanna and Llandaff area, including the grade 2 listed parkland of Llandaff and Pontcanna Fields. Runners then pass Sophia Gardens before a grandstand finish at the Edwardian Civic Centre.
Organisers revived this historic event to return a city 10 kilometre race to the streets of the Welsh capital. The revival has given thousands of runners the opportunity to run through central Cardiff and its adjacent parkland and suburban areas. The event is presented as part of the local running calendar and sits alongside other Run 4 Wales events such as the Cardiff Half Marathon.
Available media from past editions includes route videos and event galleries. Partner and sponsor names are noted for the event. The description of the route highlights both central city landmarks and nearby green spaces, and the finish location offers a formal civic setting.
