Kidney Wales CDF 10K
The Kidney Wales CDF 10K is a sightseeing run through the Welsh capital on a 10 km course that passes many central Cardiff landmarks. The route goes through the heart of the city, taking in Cardiff Castle and the Principality Stadium, crosses the River Taff, and moves toward the leafy suburb of Pontcanna. Runners continue through the grade 2 listed parkland of Llandaff and Pontcanna Fields, pass Sophia Gardens, the home of Welsh cricket, and finish with a grandstand finish in the Edwardian Civic Centre.
The event is described as a revival of a long standing race and has given thousands of runners the opportunity to take to the streets of central Cardiff. It is placed in the calendar to suit those training for the distance over the spring and summer months and to serve as a stepping stone for the Cardiff Half Marathon, which takes place every October.
