Kidney Wales CDF 10K
The Kidney Wales CDF 10K is a city centre 10 km road race that runs through central Cardiff. The route passes several city landmarks, including Cardiff Castle and the Principality Stadium, and crosses the River Taff on its course.
Runners follow a route that continues towards the suburb of Pontcanna and the grade 2 listed parkland of Llandaff and Pontcanna Fields. The course also passes Sophia Gardens, the home of Welsh cricket, and concludes with a grandstand finish at the Edwardian Civic Centre.
The event was revived in recent years and has given thousands of runners the chance to race on streets in the heart of the Welsh capital. It is placed in the calendar to suit runners training over the spring and summer and can be used as a stepping-stone for the Cardiff Half Marathon in October.
