Donut 5K Holiday Run/Walk in Carmel
The Donut 5K Holiday Run/Walk is scheduled for December 19, 2026, at Clay Terrace in Carmel, Indiana. The event marks the 20th anniversary and offers both an in-person 5K and a virtual 5K option. Registration opens December 13, 2025; the in-person registration closes October 31, 2026, and the virtual registration closes on the event day. The listed registration fee is $40.00.
Donuts will be available on the course and at the finish line, with over 7,000 donut holes to be served. Every bib includes a buy one get one free donut coupon. All participants receive the official event shirt and medal, and the first 1,500 registered participants receive a DONUT ME stocking hat. A cash purse is awarded to the top three male and female finishers, and age group awards are given. The change in 5K age categories means course records will be recorded for age group winners.
The event benefits local animal rescues, with over $100,000 donated over the years. Dogs are permitted to participate, and there are awards for best dressed dogs in holiday gear. Free parking is available in the Clay Terrace mall parking lots. An after party will be held at Buffa Louie’s on Main Street, located about 1.6 miles from the finish line.
