The Dirt Circuit - Morristown, TN
The Dirt Circuit takes place at Panther Creek State Park, with Base Camp at the park soccer fields. The looped trail measures 2.9 miles and combines wide and single-track trails through fields and woods, including two wooden bridge crossings and views of Panther Creek. The course is marked with flags and tape at major crossings.
Race formats include timed events and relays:
- 24 hour individual and 6 person relay
- 12 hour individual and 6 person relay
- 6 hour individual
- 6 hour ruck division
- 3 hour individual
One central aid station at Base Camp supplies water, electrolyte drinks, gels, fruit, snacks, and first aid. Pizza and other cooked foods will be provided during the event. The event is cup free; participants must carry their own hydration systems. Runners must wear their race bib visibly on the front to receive lap credit. Pacing and crewing are permitted. Relay teams may choose their own handoff strategy and do not have to hand off on every lap.
A 6 hour ruck division requires rucksacks and specified weights by category. Weight must be in clearly stamped plates or items and may not be removed during the event. Each ruck finisher receives a ruck patch. Primitive camping at Base Camp is included; RV sites and cabins are available through the park campground.
Shirts are guaranteed only for registrations before August 20. Entries are nontransferable and refunds are not offered. Registration closes September 18 at 11:59 PM ET. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
