The Dirt Circuit - Morristown, TN
The Dirt Circuit is a multi-distance timed trail event held at Panther Creek State Park, 2010 Panther Creek Road, Morristown, TN. The event uses a 2.9 mile loop course that combines wide and single-track trails through fields and woods, includes two wooden bridge crossings, and offers scenic views of Panther Creek. The loop begins and ends at the soccer fields, which serve as Base Camp and the location of the single aid station.

The course will be marked with flags and tape at major crossings. Headlamps are strongly encouraged for overnight running. The event is cup free; participants must carry their own hydration. Bibs must be worn on the front to ensure lap credit. Pacing and crewing are permitted. Relay teams may choose their own handoff strategy and are not required to hand off every lap.
The 6 hour Ruck division requires rucksacks and specific minimum weights by category; finisher ruck patches are awarded. One staffed aid station at Base Camp will supply water, electrolyte drinks, gels, fruit, snacks, and basic first aid; pizza and other cooked food will be provided during the day and evening. Primitive camping on the soccer fields is included with registration; RV sites and cabins are available through the park campground.
Registration rules note no refunds, no transfers between events or individuals, and a shirt guarantee cutoff date in August. The event serves as a Cherokee Ultra qualifier for 50k or greater distances. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
