The Depot Dash

The Depot Dash

The Depot Dash is a community running event in Ruston, Louisiana, with courses that run through part of downtown Ruston and the Greenway. The course will be well marked and will include water stations. Check-in takes place in the parking lot of The Depot. Event parking is available in the First Baptist Church parking lot across the street.

Every registration includes a t-shirt. T-shirts can only be guaranteed for registrations completed before Tuesday, October 20, 2026. Swag bags and giveaways are provided by event sponsors. Packet pickup and race day registration are available on race day. Live music and coffee are available after the event.

Awards are given to the overall male and female finishers in first, second, and third place. The 5K also awards the top three finishers in each of these age brackets: 9 and under; 10 to 14; 15 to 19; 20 to 29; 30 to 39; 40 to 49; and 50 and over. Because the event falls on Halloween, participants are encouraged to wear costumes and an award is given for the best dressed.

Registration opens September 11, 2026 and closes October 27, 2026 for the running events; the t-shirt only registration closes October 23, 2026. Registration fees listed by the organizer apply. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
