The Old School at Lincoln Parish Park
The Old School at Lincoln Parish Park is a trail running event in Ruston, Louisiana, held at 211 Parish Park Road. The event is in its seventh year and offers multiple off-road distances on the park trail network.
Distances offered include:
- 8K
- 15K
- 30K
The 15K is run as a single loop and the 30K is two laps of that loop. The shortest course starts on the park main loop and then follows its own route. Aid stations are located at the start and finish area and at two on-course points around mile 3 and mile 7.
Every finisher receives a medal and a swag bag at packet pickup. The event T-shirt is a SportTek tank top; shirt availability may end after March 19. Awards are given for first through third overall and for first place in ten-year age groups. A 1.5 mile kids trail race is planned for the event.
Registration opens on 2026-10-01 and closes on 2027-01-07. Pricing is tiered, with scheduled increases on February 1 and March 1. Entry fees listed are $40.00 for the 8K, $42.50 for the 15K, and $55.00 for the 30K. A post-race meal is to be determined.
