Lambton Castle Summer Trail Runs - August 2026
A summer trail running event held within the private grounds of the Lambton Estate at Chester-le-Street, County Durham. The estate contains trails not normally open to the public and combines woodland and parkland with historic estate features.
Distances on offer are:
- 5 Mile - Mixed terrain route on woodland and paths.
- 10 Mile - Moderately undulating course with trails, fields and estate roads.
- 15 Mile - The 10 mile route plus the 5 mile loop.
Routes include woodland tracks, grassy fields, firm paths and short sections on private estate roads. Route maps are provided for the 5 mile and 10 mile courses and the 15 mile distance follows both loops combined.
This event is canicross friendly. One well controlled dog per runner is permitted and dogs must remain on a lead at all times.
Live chip timing is provided by Timing Up North and results are recorded on the day. All finishers receive a bespoke event medal, Wild Deer merchandise and a snack and drink. A custom event T-shirt is available for an additional fee during registration. On-site parking is available for participants and spectators.
