Lambton Castle Summer Trail Runs : 16 August 2026
The event takes place within the private grounds of the Lambton Estate, Chester-le-Street, County Durham. It is organised by Wild Deer Events. Entry fees listed for the main races are £26 for the 5 mile, £28 for the 10 mile, and £30 for the 15 mile. Registration notes show entrants must be aged 15 or over on the event date. Parking is available on site.
Distances
- 5 mile - Mixed terrain route with wooded and open sections.
- 10 mile - Moderately undulating course with woodland trails, fields, and estate roads.
- 15 mile - Combines the 10 mile route plus the 5 mile loop.
Course, rules and facilities
The course includes woodland tracks, grassy fields, firm paths, and short sections on private estate roads. Live chip-timing is provided by Timing Up North. The event is Canicross friendly: one well-controlled dog per runner is allowed and dogs must remain on a lead at all times. All finishers receive a bespoke event medal, Wild Deer merchandise, and a snack and drink. A custom event T-shirt is available during registration for £12.00.
