The Cove takes place at Mountain Cove Farms, 994 Dougherty Gap Rd, Chickamauga, GA, in McLemore Cove. McLemore Cove is a 15-mile valley between Lookout Mountain and Pigeon Mountain. Distances offered are:
- 50K
- 30K
- 10K
Registration closes Tue, Mar 10 at 11:59 PM ET. Entries received by Feb 27 are guaranteed a race shirt. The 50K has a 10-hour time limit.
Course and access
All races start in The Cove and ascend Pigeon Mountain. The 30K and 50K routes pass by Rocktown. The 50K route also goes down the Estelle Mines Trail past old railroad tunnels and passes Pocket Falls and the High Point Overlook. Reported elevation gain for each distance is:
- 10K - 650 ft elevation gain
- 30K - 2,500 ft elevation gain
- 50K - 5,000 ft elevation gain
The venue is within Crockford-Pigeon Mountain WMA. There is no Georgia State Park parking fee for this event, but participants must purchase a day-use Combo Hunting/Fishing (Short Term) License for the race day for $5.
