Event overview
The Cougar Dash is a community running event presented by Coventry Elementary PTA on Saturday, April 25, 2026 in Yorktown, VA. The event is non-profit and 100% of proceeds benefit Coventry Elementary School PTA. The course is on flat asphalt and runs through the Coventry and The Greenlands neighborhoods. Participants of all ages may run or walk the course. Volunteers are requested to help with event operations.

Categories, awards and registration
The 5K includes adult and youth categories. The youth category is open to ages 18 and under. Top overall adult male and female finishers receive engraved medals for 1st through 3rd place. Top three boys and girls in the following age groups receive engraved trophies: Teen (13-17), 11-12, 9-10, 7-8, and 6 and under. Every runner will receive a finishing medal. Registrations after April 22 are not guaranteed a T-shirt. There are no same-day registrations; the last registration day is Friday, April 24, 2026. Entry fees listed on the event page include the adult 5K, youth 5K, and the 1-Mile Fun Run.
Logistics
Location and packet pickup are at Coventry Elementary School, 200 Owen Davis Boulevard, Yorktown, VA 23693. Packet pickup is scheduled for Friday, April 24 in the school gymnasium. A course map is provided by the organizers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
