The Cold Norton Charity Summer 10K & Half Marathon Trail Event : 9 August 2026
This is a charity trail running event near Cold Norton, Essex, raising funds for Farleigh Hospice. The event takes place at Bencott, Newport Avenue, Cold Norton CM3 6NR. What3words location: tickles.options.rural.
Routes run mainly on grass, tracks and paths through the surrounding countryside and nearby villages. The course is unmarked and delivered as a narrative route: runners receive written instructions to follow and a few short lengths of tape will mark trickier sections.

Participants register at the event and are given a race number and written route instructions. There is no bag drop; parking is close to the start/finish and toilets and handwashing facilities are available. The event provides aid stations but operates as a cupless event; runners must carry their own cup or bottle to receive drinks. The event is timed in and out but is not chip timed.
Dogs are not permitted. The event will follow applicable COVID-19 restrictions in force at the time. Finish-area refreshments will be available for donations, and entries close on 31 July 2026.
