Event Overview
The Cinnamon Bun Fun Run and 5K takes place in Smithsburg, Maryland. The event features two distances: a 5K and a Fun Run. All proceeds are donated to the Smithsburg Police Department’s SHOP-With-A-COP program.
Event Location and Course
The start and registration area is at Veterans Park on 68 W Water Street in Smithsburg. The 5K begins behind Smithsburg Elementary School, includes two laps in Veterans Park, proceeds onto W. Fire Company Lane and N. Main Street, and finishes in the rear parking lot of Hadley Farms Bakery. The Fun Run is a point-to-point route from Smithsburg Elementary School to Hadley Farms Bakery.
Participant Information
Parking is available at Smithsburg Elementary School, Smithsburg High School, Main Street, the Smithsburg Police Department, and Veterans Park. All participants receive a complimentary cinnamon bun from Hadley Farms Bakery. A race T-shirt is guaranteed for pre-registered participants. There will be live music at the bakery post-race, and food vendors or local downtown businesses will be available.
Awards
For the 5K, trophies are awarded to the top overall male and top overall female finishers. Every participant in the 5K receives a completion medal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
