Event
The Lewis Memorial 10 Miler takes place on Saturday, January 10, 2026, in Emmitsburg, MD. The event is organized from the Palmieri Activities Center (PAC) on the Mount St. Mary’s campus at 16376 John Walsh Way. The race distance is 10 miles. This is a prediction race: participants may not wear watches and the winner is the runner who finishes closest to their predicted time. Note that club Grand Prix scoring will use actual finish times.
Course and logistics
The course is mostly paved with significant hills and includes about one mile of unpaved road. There is a 2 hour 30 minute time limit for the event. Bib pickup is available on race morning inside the PAC building. The event is free for Steeplechaser club members; nonmembers may join the club for a fee. Organizers ask that entrants register online before arriving, as there will be no in-person registration on site. Participants are invited to bring a food item to share during post-race results.
Weather can be a factor for this winter event; any cancellation announcements will be posted by the organizing club and registered participants will be notified by email.
