The Child Advocacy Center of Tuscola County Superhero 5K Run/Walk
The event is a Superhero 5K Run/Walk held at the Tuscola County Fairgrounds in Caro, Michigan. It is presented as a community Superhero Run with the tagline "1 Time, 1 Place, 1 Person: Superheroes Making a Difference."
The event features a Best Overall Costume Contest. Participants may submit superhero costume photos for consideration; prizes include one gift card for the age division 12 & under and one for 13 & over.
The beneficiary is the Child Advocacy Center of Tuscola County (CAC). The CAC provides a child-friendly setting where children who have experienced sexual or physical abuse and neglect can tell their story one time, at one place, to one specially trained professional. The center aims to reduce trauma during investigations and interventions. In 2025 the CAC conducted 163 forensic interviews of children reporting abuse; those interviews have contributed to arrests and prosecutions. Its services are provided at no cost to families.
