Event overview
The Reese Rocket takes place in Reese, Michigan at Reese High School, 1696 S Van Buren Rd., Reese, MI 48757. The event offers the following distances:
- 5K Run
- 5K Walk
- 10K Run
Entry fee is $10.00 and no shirts are provided. Two dollars from each entry fee will be donated to the Reese High School Athletic Program. Restrooms and use of locker rooms are available. The course is described as flat and fast on asphalt roads. Awards are given to all finishers.
Series, awards and age groups
This race is part of the BARC Winter Race Series. Series points are awarded as follows: 5 points for completing the course in each race, plus additional points for age-group placement - 5 points for 1st, 4 for 2nd, 3 for 3rd, 2 for 4th, and 1 for 5th. The highest score in each age group and distance receives a special series award. Participants must run three (3) races in the same age group and the same distance to qualify for the special award. Age used for series points is the competitor’s age as of December 13, 2025 or the first race they run.
Age groups for male and female divisions include: 14 and under; 15-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70 and over. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
