Cheshire 3 Peaks Half Marathon

The Cheshire 3 Peaks Half Marathon is organised by OutFit Personal Fitness Ltd and is scheduled for 13 September 2026 at Tegg’s Nose Country Park, above Macclesfield. The event is a 13.1 mile loop that visits the three highest tops in Cheshire. The route has a total ascent of 847 m and uses a four hour cut-off for completion. The event is open to entrants aged 18 and over on the day.

Course and route

The route starts at Tegg’s Nose Country Park and rises to Tegg’s Nose with wide views from the higher ground. A descent leads to Tegg’s Nose reservoir, followed by a generally flat section through Macclesfield Forest to Trentabank car park. The course then includes the ascent of Shuttlingsloe, a descent toward Clough House and further climbs. Participants cross the main road by the Cat & Fiddle, where there is a 2 hour 15 minute cut-off, before the final ascent to Shining Tor, the highest point in Cheshire. The remaining miles are described as bumpy with changing terrain and the event finishes back at Tegg’s Nose.
