Cheshire 3 Peaks Half Marathon
The Cheshire 3 Peaks Half Marathon is a 13.1 miles looped trail race based at Tegg's Nose Country Park above Macclesfield. The route visits the three highest summits in Cheshire and returns to Tegg's Nose. The 2026 edition is the event's second running following the inaugural race in 2025.
The course includes a total of 847 m of ascent and contains a mix of climbs, descents and varied underfoot surfaces. Key sections described for the route include the initial climb to Tegg's Nose, a descent to Tegg's Nose reservoir, a flatter stretch through Macclesfield Forest to Trentabank car park, the ascent of Shuttlingsloe, a road crossing by the Cat & Fiddle with a 2 hours 15 minutes cut off at that point, and the ascent to Shining Tor, the highest point in Cheshire. The remaining miles are described as bumpy with changing scenery and terrain.
The event has a four hour overall cut off for completion. The finish is at Tegg's Nose where finishers receive a medal and there is an opportunity to replenish. The organiser is OutFit Personal Fitness Ltd. Course record times from 2025 are listed as male 1:44:51 and female 2:10:03. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
