Event overview
The Cardiff Winter Warmer Run offers 5k, 10k and half marathon distances at Bute Park, Coopers Field, Cardiff (CF10 3DX) on 1 February 2026. The event supports Shelter Cymru; fundraising is optional with no minimum target. Entry prices include VAT and are shown on the event page. Entry deadlines and price changes are published by the organiser.
Course and race format
The course is flat and mainly on paths with one short trail section.
- 5k: one lap
- 10k: two laps
- Half marathon: four laps plus an additional 1.1 km section
Buggies are permitted and the route is described as wheelchair friendly, with the caveat about the trail section. Marshals will be placed around the course and runners are asked to keep to the left unless directed otherwise.
Timing, results and awards
The event uses chip-on-bib timing. Instant results are displayed on the ResultsBase timing screen and are posted online after the race. The event is not UK Athletics affiliated, so results will not be listed on external UKA-run platforms. All finishers receive a medal; trophies are awarded to some winners.
On-site facilities and logistics
Race packs are collected on the morning of the event. Bag storage is available but limited. Toilets, water points (start, finish and lap section) and catering for coffee and snacks are provided within the event hub. There is no parking inside Bute Park; participants are advised to use city centre car parks or public transport. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
