The Cardiff Winter Warmer Run
The event in Bute Park, Cardiff, offers running options of 5 km, 10 km and a half marathon and supports Shelter Cymru. Entry fees increase on 2 January 2027. Fundraising for Shelter Cymru is optional and there is no minimum fundraising target.
Race services include full chip timing with chip-on-bib numbers, instant results via Results Base Timing, trophies for winners, medals for finishers, water stations, finish line refreshments and medical cover. The event provides a marked and marshalled course, limited bag storage, on-site toilets and an event hub at Coopers Field. Coffee and snacks are available for purchase at the hub.
The course is mostly flat and on paths with one trail section. The laps are organised as follows:
- 5 km one lap
- 10 km two laps
- Half marathon four laps plus a 1.1 km additional section
The route is described as wheelchair friendly and buggies are allowed, with the caveat about the trail section. Marshals will be on the course and water is provided at key points including the lap section. There is no parking within Bute Park; nearby city centre car parks and on-street parking are suggested.
