Event Overview
This is the sixth annual Buzz Run + Stylin Paws Downtown Dog Walk, a community event that supports Animal Lifeline of Iowa. The event is based at 521 E Locust St. in Des Moines, Iowa.
Distances
Participants can choose from four distances on the day of the event:
- 2 miles
- 6K
- 10K
- Half Marathon
Course Details
The course is described as an "open course," meaning participants must follow all traffic laws. The event notes there is "limited course support" and suggests bringing personal hydration if needed. Finish-line snacks and drinks are provided.
Registration and Shirts
Online registration costs $15 and closes on May 8, 2026. Day-of, on-site registration costs $20. An event shirt is available for an additional $25. To guarantee a race medal and a shirt (if purchased), online registration must be completed by April 15, 2026.
Packet Pickup
Packet pickup is available on two days prior to the event and is not available on race day. It is scheduled for Thursday, May 14, from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM at Stylin’ Paws Play Place in Urbandale, and on Friday, May 15, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at Fleet Feet Des Moines at the event address.
