3rd Annual Butterfly Run
The 3rd Annual Butterfly Run takes place on April 11, 2026 in Katy, Texas at 28760 S Firethorne Rd. The event is organized to support Her Well Center, a faith-based crisis center that advocates for survivors of sexual trauma and intimate partner violence and their families.
The event program includes in-person and virtual running options. Distances offered:

- Virtual 1 mile family run
Proceeds and donations from the event support free crisis intervention services, trauma-informed therapy, advocacy, and spiritual care provided by Her Well. The organization reports that in three years it has walked alongside more than 100 survivors through its programs.
The event incorporates the Butterfly Journey framework used by Her Well to describe stages of healing. The stages include regular case manager support during rebuilding, specialized trauma therapies such as EMDR, ART, Neurofeedback, and Equine EMDR during deeper healing, and a symbolic graduation after a 12-month program. A butterfly release is part of the event; butterflies are offered for purchase at $15 and are described as symbols of hope, healing, and freedom.
