The 3rd Annual Butterfly Run
The Butterfly Run is an annual community sports event held in Katy, Texas. This event marks the third year of the run, which is organized to support the efforts of the Her Well Center. The venue for the event is the Small Fire Thorne Community Center.
Participants can take part in the following distance:
- 5 km
The event serves as a fundraiser to support crisis intervention services for survivors of sexual assault and intimate partner violence. Proceeds from the run help provide resources such as one-on-one counseling, medical advocacy, and self-defense training for women in the Waller, Fort Bend, and Harris County areas.
The race follows a route through the local community, providing an opportunity for residents and supporters to gather on a Saturday morning. The event is hosted by Her Well, a program of Hooks2Crooks Ministries, an organization focused on the mental, physical, and spiritual healing of survivors. Registration is managed through an external platform, and the event is open to individuals who wish to support local survivor advocacy and recovery programs.
