Event overview
The Bulldog Ultra is scheduled for August 15, 2026 at Malibu Creek State Park in Calabasas, CA (1925 Las Virgenes Road). The event is presented as part of the Bulldog Challenge Series and offers three distances: a new three-loop 75k, a 50k ultramarathon, and a 25k trail run. The race takes place on single track and fire roads in the Santa Monica Mountains and includes significant elevation gain on each course. - 75k - three-loop 3X Ultra with a 10-hour cut-off.
- 50k - 29.4 miles, 5,784 ft of climbing.
- 25k - 14.87 miles, 2,947 ft of climbing.
Both the 25k and 50k use marked aid stations. Aid stations are listed with mile locations and described as fully stocked. The start of the second 50k loop is noted as an aid station that accepts drop bags and pacers. All aid stations are stocked with Skratch Labs hydration.
Awards, cut-offs and services
The 50k features a stated $4,000 prize purse; listed payouts include $1,000, $600 and $400 for the top three finishers. Overall and age group awards are offered, and winners are invited to a regional championship event. Finishers receive a medal and race tee, and results are chip timed and available the same day.
