The Bulldog Ultra - Calabasas, CA
The Bulldog Ultra is a trail running event organized by SoCalTrail at Malibu Creek State Park in Calabasas, California. The event offers two race distances and is part of the Bulldog Challenge Series.
- 50k Ultra Trail (about 29.4 miles)
- 25k Trail (about 14.8 miles)
The 50k course is listed with approximately 5,511 feet of elevation gain; the 25k shows about 2,783 feet of gain. Routes use single track and fire roads through the Santa Monica Mountains with ocean views in places. Footpath is the official mapping and navigation tool for the event.
Aid stations are fully stocked and placed at specific mile markers on both courses; the 50k includes a second loop with facilities for drop bags and pacers. The event enforces aid station cutoffs and may remove runners who miss those cutoff windows.
Prizes and awards include an overall podium purse for the 50k totaling $3,500, a $500 course record bonus for the 25k, overall and age group awards for multiple categories, and entry incentives for series finishers. All SoCalTrail races are cupless.
