The Blue Circle 5K/10K Run/Walk
The Blue Circle Run is a community 5K and 10K run/walk that benefits Diabetes Dayton, an agency of LifeCare Alliance. Proceeds stay in the Greater Dayton area to support local diabetes programs and services. Diabetes Dayton provides free ADA-accredited diabetes education classes, diabetes supplies for the uninsured, diabetes screenings, presentations, resource referrals, and a summer camp for children living with Type 1 diabetes.
Event offerings include:
- 5K walk/run
- 10K run
- Virtual option with local pick-up of race items
The race is timed by Key Sports. Organizers enforce a 15-minute per mile pace for 10K participants. Animals are not allowed at the event except for service animals. Participants are advised to be able to hear instructions from volunteers, first responders, and event staff, so use of headphones and earbuds is discouraged.
Registration pricing varies by date. Registration includes a short-sleeve shirt for those registered by the shirt deadline; long-sleeve shirts and hoodies are available for purchase. The event no longer provides race medals. Transfers to another participant are permitted through October 7. There are no refunds for any reason. Organizers reserve the right to reschedule, cancel, or convert the event to a virtual format for safety or other reasons as needed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
