West Midlands Triathlon
The West Midlands Triathlon takes place on Saturday 7th August 2027 at King Edward’s School, Edgbaston Park Road, Birmingham B15 2UA. The event uses a heated indoor pool for the swim and grass lapped circuits for the cycle and run, all traffic free and clearly marked.
The arena style layout gives good visibility for competitors and spectators. The cycle course is a flat, lapped grass circuit with some undulation. Organisers cut the grass before race day. All competitors must count their own pool lengths and laps on bike and run. Wearing a cycle helmet is compulsory. Electronic chip timing is used and every finisher receives an official medal.

- Sprint Triathlon, 400m swim, 6km grass circuit cycle, 5km run, 14 years on race day
- Venture Triathlon, 200m swim, 5km cycle, 3km run, 14 years on race day
- Endeavour Triathlon, 150m swim, 4km cycle, 2km run, 14 years on race day
- Fun Challenge Triathlon, 100m swim, 3km cycle, 1km run, 14 years on race day
- Sprint Relay, 400m swim, 6km cycle, 5km run, teams of two or three
Relay teams consist of two or three people, each completing one or two disciplines and passing the electronic chip in transition. Competitor information including race number and individual start time is emailed 7 to 10 days before the event and race packs are collected on the day. Onsite facilities include hot and cold food, refreshments, toilets and open spaces suitable for spectators and family use. A separate kids fun triathlon is available for ages 5 to 18.
