The Birmingham Triathlon : King Edward’s School, Birmingham
The Birmingham Triathlon takes place at King Edward’s School, Edgbaston Park Road, Birmingham B15 2UA on Saturday 1st August 2026. The event uses a heated indoor pool for the swim and a grass lapped cycle circuit that is traffic free and marked with post and tape. The run course is also lapped and described as flat. Competitors must count their own pool lengths and laps on the bike and run. Wearing a cycle helmet is compulsory for the cycle section.
The event features electronic chip timing and an official finisher medal for all entrants. There are on-site facilities including hot and cold food, refreshments, toilets and open spaces suitable for spectators and families. A relay option is offered; teams can consist of two or three people, each completing one or two disciplines and passing the electronic chip in transition.
A separate Birmingham Kids Fun Triathlon is held for ages 5 to 16 on the same weekend. Entry status is listed as ENTRY NOW CLOSED. The organisers note the cycle course will receive a fresh grass cut before the event and that the arena-style layout aims to concentrate action for spectators and participants.
