Course, services, and rules
The course is just under a 2 mile paved loop around Sparks Marina with a total elevation gain of 29 feet. The loop is lighted and includes two permanent restrooms and porta potties near the start. Aid is provided at a staffed start/finish aid station 24 hours with real meals during normal meal periods and vegan options; the event is cupless, so runners should use a personal cup for cold drinks. Timing uses an electronic chip transponder system; laps without the chip are not counted. A secondary timing point is located halfway around the loop and live lap totals are displayed. One pacer is allowed at a time; bicycles are not permitted. For fixed-distance races, 50 mile competitors complete 26 loops and 100 mile competitors complete 52 loops.
