28th Annual Scheels Turkey Trot
The event is a non timed 2 miles loop held at the Marina Park Pavilion and around the Sparks Marina in Sparks, NV. The course is one clockwise lap around the marina and is described as suitable for participants using jogging strollers.
Registration opens on August 24, 2026 and closes on November 23, 2026; the listed registration fee is $35.00. Shirt and event information pickup, and week of event registration, are scheduled for November 23 through November 25 from 9am to 9pm at Scheels. Shirt sizes are not guaranteed.
Dogs are not allowed on the course except for registered and licensed service animals. Open parking is available at the marina, with additional parking next to Western Village and along the marina pathway.
The usual 10K is not offered this year because of the Sparks Boulevard widening project. The event includes a construction-themed costume element: participants are invited to wear job site–style outfits and the Special Events team will select an over-the-top construction outfit to receive a prize.
