The Big Run Tacoma
The Big Run is a community running event hosted in Tacoma, Washington, held in observance of Global Running Day. The event is presented by Brooks and Fleet Feet Tacoma, marking five decades of operation for the retail organization. This event serves as a communal gathering for local participants to share in the sport of running.
The event features a single distance available for participants:
- 5K fun run and walk
The course begins and ends at the Fleet Feet location situated at 3812 N 26th St, Unit A. Participation is free of charge for all registrants. While there is no entry fee, the event coordinates a charitable component where the organizers collect cash donations. One hundred percent of the proceeds gathered at the venue are directed to Girls on the Run WestSound.
Registration for the run is available online until midday on the day of the event. For those who do not register in advance online, the organizers provide a check-in tent where individuals can sign up in person after the online window has closed. The event is designed as a non-competitive fun run, welcoming both runners and walkers to the 5 kilometer route. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
