The Big Run 5K Presented by Brooks
The Big Run is a community timed 5K held in Reading, PA on Global Running Day. The event takes place along the Schuylkill River Trail with activity at 451 Morgantown Rd, including a Fleet Feet tent in the field by Trooper Thorn's for race operations and bib pickup. Bib pickup begins at 5:30pm at the Fleet Feet tent.
Timing is managed by Pretzel City Sports. All finishers receive a medal and the top three finishers in each age category receive awards. Age categories for male and female divisions are Under 12, 13 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, 70 to 79 and 80 plus.
The entry fee listed is $23.00. Registration opens January 29 and closes on the day of the event. The event includes an equipment raffle with a Brooks running top and bottom and a $100 Fleet Feet gift card, participation from local vendors and community partners, and an option to donate to Girls on the Run during registration.
