Long Haul 100 : Lakeland, FL
The Long Haul 100 is a trail running event held at Colt Creek State Park in Lakeland, Florida (16000 State Rte 471). The event offers two distances and uses multi-loop formats on park trails that pass lakes and natural areas.
The distances:
- 100 miles: six loops of 16.8 miles, three fully staffed aid stations, drop bag access every loop, 32-hour cut-off (WSER qualifying cut-off noted as 30 hours).
- 100 furlongs (12.5 miles): one abbreviated loop based on the 100-mile course, two fully staffed aid stations.
Aid stations provide hot and cold food and beverages. Finishers of the 100-mile race receive a belt buckle; runners who finish under 30 hours receive a Western States Endurance Run lottery ticket. Pacers may join after loop 3; runners age 60 or older may have a pacer at any time. All pacers must sign a waiver.
Logistics include packet pickup on the Friday before the event at the pavilion near Mac Lake from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm, with an optional pre-race meeting and dinner at 5:00 pm. Race-day packet pickup is available early on race day for those who miss Friday. Parking is organized into four areas inside the park with specific rules; RVs are permitted only in the RV campground. The organizer accepts rollover credits on a sliding scale; refunds are not offered. Travel times from nearby airports are provided in the event information.
