Event details
THE BIG LIME TRIATHLONS take place at Hartlepool Marina on 9 August 2026. The event features a swim in the marina, cycling routes through Seaton Carew and Teesside, and a run along the seafront promenade. Relay entries are available and there are no cut-off times. Open water swim sessions are also offered. Competitors must be at least 17 years old on event day. The event location is Maritime Avenue, Hartlepool Marina, TS24 0XF. Free parking is available for participants.

- Sprint Triathlon - Swim 750 m, Cycle 20 km, Run 5 km
- Standard Triathlon - Swim 1,500 m, Cycle 40 km, Run 10 km
- Sprint Aquabike - Swim 750 m, Cycle 22 km
- Standard Aquabike - Swim 1,500 m, Cycle 40 km
- Sprint Triathlon Relay - Swim 500 m, Cycle 20 km, Run 5 km
- Standard Triathlon Relay - Swim 1,500 m, Cycle 40 km, Run 10 km
Water temperatures in August are expected to make wetsuits optional. The transition area is secure and for competitors only; race and bike numbers determine racking, small bags or boxes are permitted, bike numbers must be attached to bikes, and helmets must be worn before entering transition. Live chip timing will be used. All finishers receive an event medal, Wild Deer merchandise, and a snack and drink. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
