The Big Lime Triathlons - Hartlepool Marina
The event takes place at Hartlepool Marina, Maritime Avenue, TS24 0XF on 9 August 2026. The programme includes a swim in the marina, cycling routes described as fast and flat through Seaton Carew and Teesside, and a run along the seafront promenade. Relay entries are available and there are no cut off times.
Distances offered:
- Sprint triathlon: Swim 750 m, cycle 20 km, run 5 km
- Standard triathlon: Swim 1,500 m, cycle 40 km, run 10 km
- Sprint aquabike: Swim 750 m, cycle 22 km
- Standard aquabike: Swim 1,500 m, cycle 40 km
Open water swims are also hosted as a separate discipline. Wetsuits are optional in August, though competitors may choose to wear one for comfort depending on water temperature.
A secure transition area is provided for competitors only. Race numbers and bike numbers determine racking positions. Small bags or boxes are permitted inside transition. Bikes must display the bike number and helmets must be worn before entering transition. Bib and bike numbers will be checked before exiting transition.
Live chip timing is provided by Timing Up North. All finishers receive an event medal, Wild Deer merchandise, and a snack and drink. Free parking is available for participants at Hartlepool Marina. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
