The Big Lime Triathlons : Hartlepool Marina
The Big Lime Triathlons take place at Hartlepool Marina on 9 August 2026. The event features a swim in the marina, cycling routes through Seaton Carew and Teesside, and a run along the seafront promenade.
Event distances are offered across multiple formats and include relay options and no cut-off times:
- Sprint (Short) Triathlon: Swim 750 m, Cycle 20 km, Run 5 km
- Standard Triathlon: Swim 1,500 m, Cycle 40 km, Run 10 km
- Sprint Aquabike: Swim 750 m, Cycle 22 km
- Standard Aquabike: Swim 1,500 m, Cycle 40 km
A dedicated Open Water Swimming event is also scheduled.
Wetsuits are optional for August water temperatures; wearing one is recommended for comfort. A secure transition area is provided for competitors only. Race and bike numbers correspond to racking locations. Bike numbers must be attached to bikes and helmets must be worn before entering transition. Bib and bike numbers will be checked before exiting transition. Small bags or boxes are permitted inside transition.
Live chip timing is provided by Timing Up North. All finishers receive an event medal, Wild Deer merchandise, and a snack and drink. Free parking is available for participants at Hartlepool Marina. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
