Bishopton Triathlon : North East Wake Park, Bishopton Lake
The Bishopton Triathlon takes place at Bishopton Lake within North East Wake Park on 23 August 2026. The lake is a man-made open water venue with a maximum depth of about 5 ft, allowing participants the option to stand across much of the swim course. The site is sheltered from wind, which usually gives flat water conditions.
The cycle course uses local open roads and includes sections associated with the British Cycle Series and time trial and championship events. The route is described as flat with few turns. The run is a new lapped route for 2026, following gravel paths and grass trails around the lake to create a spectator friendly layout.
Entry requires membership of British Triathlon with a race licence, or purchase of a single use Race Pass. Race categories offered include sprint and Olympic distances plus relay, aquabike and aquathlon options.
