The Big 50 Trail Run : Pine Mountain, Georgia
The Big 50 is a point-to-point trail race held within F.D. Roosevelt State Park in Pine Mountain, GA. The route runs along the Pine Mountain Trail from the radio tower in Warm Springs to the Liberty Bell Pool in the state park. The event offers two race distances:
- 50K point-to-point; aid stations at miles 5, 11, 16, 23, 29
- 25K point-to-point; aid stations at miles 5 and 11
All runners must carry some form of hydration. Crew access is allowed at all aid stations except the mile 5 station. Bus transport is available for runners who purchase a bus ticket; buses run from the finish area to the start location. Runners without a bus pass must provide their own transportation.
Participants who register by April 15 will receive a unique Big 50 hat. All finishers receive a medal. Overall awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each race, and the first overall finisher in each race receives a free entry to a 2027 Bootlegger Trail race of their choice. After the race there is a picnic with a free hotdog cookout for everyone. Registration closes Thu, Apr 30 @ 11:59PM ET.
