The Big 50 Trail Run : May 2, 2027
The event is a trail running meeting held at F.D. Roosevelt State Park in Pine Mountain, GA on May 2, 2027. It is organized by Revolution Running Co. and is presented as the eleventh running of The Big 50. The race takes place in spring and uses single track trail that climbs and drops alongside the Pine Mountain Trail.
Distances offered include:
- 50K trail race
- 25K trail race
- 10K trail race
Registrations open October 1, 2026. Participants who register by April 1 receive a Big 50 shirt. All finishers receive a medal. Overall awards are given to the top three male and top three female finishers in each race. The first overall finisher in each race receives a free entry to the 2028 Bootlegger Trail race of their choice.
A postrace picnic includes a free hotdog cookout for participants and guests. The event offers a refund policy that grants a full refund up to three months before the race date; after that time no refunds are available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
