The Big 50 - May 3, 2026
The event takes place at F.D. Roosevelt State Park in Pine Mountain, Georgia on May 3, 2026. It is the 10th edition of The Big 50 Trail Run and uses a point-to-point format along the Pine Mountain Trail, starting at the radio tower in Warm Springs and finishing at the Liberty Bell Pool in the state park. The course includes single-track trail with climbs and descents and follows the full park trail route.

The 50K course has five aid stations located at miles 5, 11, 16, 23, and 29. The 25K course has two aid stations at miles 5 and 11. All participants must carry some form of hydration. Crew access is allowed at all aid stations except the one at mile 5.
Buses are available for runners who purchase a bus ticket; buses will transport runners from the finish area to the start area. Runners without a bus ticket must provide their own transportation. Participants in a 10K do not need a bus pass because that course starts and finishes at the same location.
All finishers receive a medal. Participants who register by April 15 receive a Big 50 hat. Top three male and female finishers in each race receive overall awards, and the first overall finisher in each race receives a free entry to a 2027 Bootlegger Trail race. Registration closes April 30 at 11:59 PM ET. Refunds are 100% until three months before the event; after that there are no refunds. A free hotdog cookout will be provided after the race.
