About the race
The Big 50 is a trail running event held on May 2, 2027 at F.D. Roosevelt State Park in Pine Mountain, Georgia. The event is organized by Revolution Running Co. and offers three course distances:
- 50K
- 25K
- 10K
The course uses single-track trail that climbs and descends along the Pine Mountain Trail. Entry fees are listed from $53.50 to $82.18 with multiple pricing options and registration availability noted. Registration closes on Sunday, April 25 at 11:59 PM ET; entry periods began October 1, 2026.
Runners who register by April 1 receive a unique Big 50 shirt. All finishers receive a medal. Overall awards are given to the top three male and top three female finishers in each race. The first overall finisher in each race receives a free entry to a 2028 Bootlegger Trail race of their choice.
A postrace picnic includes a free hotdog cookout for participants and companions. The event’s refund policy allows a full refund until three months before the race date; no refunds are offered after that time.
