Event Details

The Small Town Christmas 34 Hour is an ultrarunning event taking place in Valley, Alabama. The course is a 2-mile loop along the banks of the Chattahoochee River at Shawmut Airport.

Course and Tradition

The run is held to support a local holiday tradition. Each year, the town sets up a free carousel for children, a tradition originally started by local textile mills. After the mills closed, the city government and local business donations have kept it running. This ultrarunning event aims to help continue this tradition.

Awards
