Small Town Christmas 34 Hour

The event is a timed ultrarun held in Valley, AL on a two mile loop along the banks of the Chattahoochee River near Shawmut Airport. It runs for 34 hour on a repeated 2 mile circuit and takes place as part of the town's holiday period.

The race supports a local carousel tradition that provides free rides for children. That carousel tradition began as outreach from local textile mills and now continues largely through donations from local businesses and city support. The event is presented as an aid to help carry on this community tradition.

Past editions included multiple 100 mile finishes and other personal distance records. Each registered runner will receive an event t shirt if registered by the t shirt deadline of 11/25/2026. Each finisher receives a unique finisher award and any runner who reaches 100 mile will receive a custom MuddyCrudd belt buckle. Registration closes on Fri, Dec 4 at 11:59 PM ET.
