Small Town Christmas 34 Hour
The Small Town Christmas 34 Hour is an ultrarunning event held in Valley, AL on December 5, 2026. The timed event takes place on a 2 mile loop along the banks of the Chattahoochee River. The event is organized by Muddy Crudd Trail and Ultrarunning and is presented as a 34 hour race.
The race is tied to a local holiday tradition: each year a carousel is installed for children free of charge, a practice that began as outreach by local textile mills and now continues largely through donations and city support. The event serves as an aid to help sustain that tradition.
Previous editions at this location produced multiple 100 mile finishes and several distance personal records. The loop course follows riverfront paths and repeats the same circuit for the duration of the event.
Event entries include an event T-shirt for runners registered by the T-shirt deadline of 11/25/2026. Each finisher receives a unique finisher award. Runners who reach 100 miles receive a custom MuddyCrudd belt buckle. Registration closes on Fri, Dec 4, 2026. The listed entry fee is USD 161.65.
