The half marathon route passes unique rock outcroppings, hardwood and longleaf pine forests, rock formations, springs, and creek crossings. The 10K travels the Mountain Creek Nature Trail Loop and part of the Longleaf Loop. Both courses include rocky, root-filled singletrack covered in leaves; participants are advised to watch their step. Aid stations are provided: 1 aid station for the 10K and 2.5 aid stations for the half marathon. Overall male and female awards are planned and each finisher receives a finisher award.
Entry fees are listed as $70 for the 10K and $85 for the half marathon, with prices increasing after November 21 to $85 and $100 respectively. Each registered runner receives a race hoodie, though hoodie size is not guaranteed for registrations after November 25. There is no race-day registration, and entries are nontransferable with no refunds or deferments.
A $10 parking fee per vehicle is required at Georgia State Parks and is not included with registration; self-pay boxes and annual passes are available at park headquarters. Parking is limited and carpooling is recommended. A portion of event proceeds will benefit the park, the Pine Mountain Trail Association, and the Humane Society of Harris County, which will also receive collected pet food donations.
