Holiday Hootie Hoo
The Holiday Hootie Hoo is a trail running event on December 13, 2026 in Pine Mountain, Georgia, organized by the Southern Singletrack Trail Series. It is the ninth annual running of this event and serves as the final race in the Southern Singletrack series. The race takes place at F.D.R. State Park and uses long sections of Pine Mountain trail.

The half marathon route includes long sections of Pine Mountain trail with rock outcroppings, hardwood and longleaf pine forest, rock formations, springs, and creek crossings. The 10K follows the Mountain Creek Nature Trail Loop and part of the Longleaf Loop. Both courses feature rocky, root-filled singletrack covered in leaves.
Aid and awards information is provided for each distance: the 10K has 1 aid station and the half marathon has 2.5 aid stations. Each participant receives a race hoodie and a finisher award; overall male and female awards are part of the results. Hoodie size is not guaranteed for registrations after November 25. There are no transfers, refunds, or deferments.
Registration must be completed in advance; there is no race-day registration and registration closes on December 9. A $10 parking fee per vehicle is required by Georgia State Parks and parking is limited. A portion of proceeds will benefit the park, the Pine Mountain Trail Association, and the Humane Society of Harris County, and food donations for the Humane Society are collected at the event.
