Holiday Hootie Hoo
Holiday Hootie Hoo is a trail running event on December 13, 2026 in Pine Mountain, Georgia, organized by the Southern Singletrack Trail Series. It is the final race in the Southern Singletrack Trail Series and is held at F.D.R. State Park.
The event offers the following distances:
- 10K
- Half Marathon
Courses and terrain include long sections of singletrack with rocks and roots covered in leaves. The Half Marathon route passes rock outcroppings, hardwood and longleaf pine forests, springs, creek crossings, and other rock formations. The 10K route travels the Mountain Creek Nature Trail Loop and part of the Longleaf Loop. Aid stations are provided: one for the 10K and two and a half for the Half Marathon.
Entry fees listed are $70 for the 10K and $85 for the Half Marathon, increasing to $85 and $100 respectively after November 21. Registration closes December 9 at 11:59 PM ET; there is no race day registration. No transfers, refunds, or deferments are allowed.
Each entry includes a race hoodie and a finisher award, though hoodie size is not guaranteed for registrations after November 25. A portion of proceeds will benefit the park, the Pine Mountain Trail Association, and the Humane Society of Harris County. The event also collects canned or bagged dog and cat food for the Humane Society. A $10 parking fee per vehicle is required at Georgia State Parks and parking is limited.
