Sloth Run - Event overview
The Sloth Run is a relaxed running event held at Piney Creek Hollow Park in Centennial, Colorado. The event offers in-person and virtual options and includes several distance choices. It is organized as smaller, private group waves with a cap per wave; waves are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. Coordinators are present on race day to support participants and to help with optional timing.
All paces and ages may participate; minors must be accompanied by a guardian. The event emphasizes a low-stress format with no timing chips. Participants may track time using common running apps and submit results through the organizer’s process if they want times posted.
Distances offered include:
- 5K
- 10K
- Half-Marathon 13.1
- Virtual Run
- Family 1 Mile Fun Run
Event entry includes mailed swag for US addresses, race bibs on race day, and optional upgrades. Typical swag items listed are a running T-shirt, a finisher’s towel or giveaway, a finisher’s medal, and a digital training pack. Technical running shirts are available as an optional upgrade for an additional fee. Online results and a certificate of completion are provided. Last-minute registrations are accepted up to two weeks before the event, though mailed shirts may arrive after race day. Organizers note a charity initiative: $1 is donated for each mile logged after the race to a partner charity; fundraising is optional. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
