Event overview
The Pioneer Prairie Dog Half, 10k & 5k is scheduled for Sunday, August 23, 2026 in Westminster, Colorado. The event is based at Westminster Promenade Terrace, 10060 Westminster Blvd, Westminster, CO 80020 (across from the Westin). It includes three distance options:
- Half marathon
- 10k
- 5k
The half marathon is open to ages 16 and older.
Participant information
Standard entry fees listed are $75 for the half marathon, $45 for the 10k, and $35 for the 5k. Each registrant receives a gender-specific performance short-sleeved shirt, a finisher's pint glass, chip timing, free photo downloads, and free GPS tracking for friends and family. Half marathon registrants receive a finisher's medal. Available shirt sizes are shown during registration and some sizes may sell out.
A course map is available via MapMyRun. The event is an official qualifier for BolderBoulder. The race partners with Sneakers4Good for shoe donations; donated shoes support the charity Growing Home. Multi-race bundle options are offered for the Prairie Dog series, including 10% and 15% discounts that include related events in Arvada and Castle Rock in 2026.
