Overview
The Bagel Run is a community-focused athletic event held at the South Peachtree Creek Trail in Decatur, Georgia. This event features multiple distances and focuses on a stress-free environment for participants of all ages and abilities. The run is organized in small waves with a participant cap to maintain a private group setting.
Participants can choose from the following distances:
- 1 Mile Family Fun Run
- 5 km
- 10 km
- 13.1 miles (Half-Marathon)
Practical Information
There are no timing chips or complex setups for this event. Timing is optional; participants may use mobile applications to track their performance or request assistance from on-site coordinators. Registered runners receive a swag bag that includes a running t-shirt, a finisher's medal, a finisher's towel or similar giveaway, and a digital training pack. Shirts are shipped directly to the address provided during registration rather than being distributed at the venue.
The course is located along the South Peachtree Creek Trail. Runners under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a guardian. For those unable to attend the physical location, a virtual run option is available, which includes the same medal and digital tools upon completion of the distance at a location of the participant's choice.
Charity and Community
The event supports various charity initiatives. After the conclusion of the race, the organization donates one dollar to partner charities for every mile logged by participants.
